YouthWorks-Detroit (YWD) unites diverse people to holistically support our city’s youth through focused prayer, intentional after school programming and committed mentoring relationships. Alliance Catholic Foundation supported YWD by providing a grant to help purchase two 15-passenger vans to support various program/outreach activities.

Catholic Community Response Team

Catholic Community Response Team (CCRT) provides direct, referral and support services to those with basic and crisis needs living within the city of Pontiac. To provide this support, CCRT seeks to build a bridge between the Pontiac community and the surrounding area, which consists of more prosperous suburbs. It does this by seeking financial support, and utilizing volunteer expertise and manpower found in Pontiac, nearby Catholic parishes and organizations. Alliance Catholic Foundation provided a grant to fund one year of “Getting Ahead” and “Getting Ahead while Getting Out” classes.

Livingston County Catholic Charities

The Mission of Livingston County Catholic Charities is the work of the Catholic Church to share the love of Christ by performing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Alliance Catholic Foundation provided a grant to support the 2021 Christmas Blessing Project, whereby nearly 200 seniors are provided help with basic necessities and shown the love of Christ.

Oxford Strong Fund

Joined with the Michigan Credit Union Foundation and credit unions across the state to assist families impacted by the tragedy that took place at Oxford High School on November 30, 2021.


Sgt. Steven Splan Memorial Fund

Bloomfield Hills Police Officer Sgt. Steven Splan was a member of Alliance Catholic Credit Union who died in the line of duty in August of 2020, after suffering a heart attack several hours after cutting and removing a large tree that had fallen onto Bloomfield Hills Parkway. He was 46 years old. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Felician Sisters of North America – Livonia Support Fund

The Felician Sisters established Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary convent in 1936 and went on to establish Montessori Preschool, several elementary schools, Ladywood High School, St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital, Angela Hospice, Marywood Nursing Care Center, Senior Clergy Villiage and Madonna University. In 2020, twenty-two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at the convent and twelve sisters have died at least eight of them directly from the disease. The community was home to 56 sisters before the coronavirus outbreak.

Emily Victoria Solek Memorial Fund

Emily Solek was a young member of Alliance Catholic Credit Union who passed away in a car accident in June of 2020. The Emily Victoria Solek Memorial Scholarship Fund has been created to provide assistance for higher education to a graduate of Stoney Creek High School. Each year, a student pursuing a college degree will be awarded financial assistance. Qualifications will be based on character, academic achievement, and financial need.

Pope Francis Center

The Pope Francis Center – a facility in Detroit that offers meals, showers, toiletries, laundry services, medical and dental care to the homeless guests in Detroit transitioned all their services outdoors during the coronavirus pandemic. A gift from Alliance Catholic Foundation help PFC partner with a local laundromat to continue to provide essential laundry services while employees were forced to serve guests outdoors.

Catholic Community Response Team

Inspired by the gospel of Jesus, CCRT provides emergency service to those in crisis primarily residing in the Pontiac Community. In August 2020, CCRT hosted their annual “Back to School” event. 140 students of Pontiac Public Schools each received one new and one used school uniform and school supplies.

Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit Food Bank

St. Vincent De Paul members of Basilica of Ste. Anne in Southwest Detroit provide food and clothing to residence of Detroit who reside in the 48216 zip code. Volunteers minister individually to each client by asking about family members, food preferences, clothing sizes, etc.

Livingston County Catholic Charities Christmas Blessing Project

Over seventy volunteers from Livingston County Catholic Charities provided support to 170 low income and home bound seniors which included food boxes, cleaning and hygienic supplies and paper products. This project brought help, hope, and the love of Jesus to seniors, many of whom were very isolated due to COVID – 19 restrictions.

Chaldean American Ladies of Charity Food Pantry Program

This program supports homeless, low-income refugee and immigrant families in Michigan, providing assistance with temporary housing, benefit application assistance, financial assistance, legal, health care/health education, employment assistance, translation/interpretation, as well as provision of important basic needs items such as furniture (mattresses/beds, sofas, chairs, tables, clothing etc.), cookware, appliances, blankets/comforters, bed sheets, baby cribs, clothing, and food assistance through our Food Pantry. A 2020 grant from Alliance Catholic Foundation allowed the program to support 50 additional families.

La Casa Guadalupana

The mission of La Casa Guadalupana is to revitalize the general environment and improve conditions in the lives of the Hispanic community of Our Lady of Guadalupe parish in Southwest Detroit by providing education, health information, and support services for families. We provide families with ways to improve their economic security and future prospects.

Shrine Dad’s Club

The Shrine Dads’ Club provides support and services to Shrine Catholic Grade School, Shrine Catholic Academy, and the National Shrine of the Little Flower Parish. The Club’s primary responsibility is the administration of the entire athletic program including the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) for the students and parish members.

Macomb Immigrant Services Center

The Macomb Immigrant Service Center (MISC) provides comprehensive human services and advocacy and empowerment programs to foster and increase self-sufficiency and independence.
